For more than 53 years, HIS Paint Manufacturing Company has been manufacturing paints and coatings, and we’re always looking to the painting professionals who use our paints for their projects for their insights and wisdom.

We recently spoke with several practicing painters, asking them for their insight on an important question at the heart of home-owner’s motivation for their painting decision: “How does paint impact home value?”
If someone drives up to a home and sees the home has been well cared for, no issues and is a turn key property, they are much more willing to pay a higher cost for the home. Paint is one of those key elements inspectors and potential buyers look for.
Bare wood on the exterior immediately brings to mind rot, water damage, how much extra is that expense going to be on top of closing costs. The list goes on and on. But if the home is recently painted and well cared for we have seen clients get a positive ROI (return on investment) because the buyer does not have to deal with these extra expenses and the time to coordinate the work.
If your home is recently painted, in a good neutral color, it will sell for more and sell faster.
It’s a win win.
